Integrated Marketing Communications Comprehensive Plan

Working with the Rockingham Educational Foundation, a local organization aiming to support students and educators alike, my team and I created a comprehensive plan to restructure their marketing efforts. This plan included target personas, mediums for communication, and overarching communication goals for the one-year timeline. In addition, we provided the foundation with a budget breakdown and content schedule as well as more creative and informational material.

Consumer Behavior: Kohls Rebranding

As part of a consumer behavior-based class, my team and I were tasked with rebranding a company exhibiting negative growth. After researching the company Kohls, we believed the company could be turned around with a more targeted marketing strategy. I designed the image on the right as part of our focus group, receiving overwhelmingly positive feedback compared to existing Kohls images and graphics.

Lenny's Pizza and Pasta Marketing Plan

My first "marketing" job, you could say, started in the back of a local pizza restaurant. The owner and manager of the restaurant had social media platforms that weren't regularly being used and after some thought and research, I believed I could positively grow their following and influence. After collecting over 1100+ customer emails, I was able to create newsletters and store updates that would be sent out to existing and potential customers.  In addition, I also took over the restaurant's Facebook page and averaged over 150 people reached per post, almost doubling their previous reach.

WakeRing Business Plan

As part of the JMU College of Business, a group comprised of myself and six other accounting, finance, marketing, and management majors, produced a business plan for a product we created called "WakeRing." This product aimed to keep drivers awake when behind the wheel by connecting via Bluetooth to a cellular device and notifying the wearer when signs of fatigue began to set in. To support the product's possibility of success in the open market, my group and I completed comprehensive marketing, operations, management, and finance sections. Some of the more complex exhibits included market positioning and segmentation, operational flow charts, and financial balance sheets.
